September/October
Spring arrives!
Compared to temperate climes where the changes of season are dramatic, the sub tropics shift slowly but not without drama. The erruption of blossom on the paperbarks, gums and bottlebrushes engenders hysteria from our rainbow lorikeets and other equally noisy nectar eaters. The ground beneath these trees is very quickly transformed into a carpet of blossom, twigs and leaves and the air is thick with the scent of the nectar.
